Meet Jerome Nshimiyimana : A committed Field Staff serving in Kirehe District, Nyamugari Sector, whose work is transforming both health and environmental outcomes for children and families.
Jerome works across two fronts: he supports in Front Line Functionaries in Imena Program, promoting five key behaviours; One Egg Per Child Every Day and complementary feeding, Antenetal Care Services Delivery and utilization, Sustainable Graduation From Poverty, Hygiene and Sanitation, Multihazards Preparedness and Prevention, as he also mentors Eco-Clubs in Kagasa and Kazizi Primary schools, where he helps pupils cultivate responsibility, environmental awareness, and lifelong healthy habits.

His work is already having visible impact—stronger school eco-clubs, more informed families, and children growing up with a renewed appreciation for both their health and their environment. Jerome represents exactly what Heza Initiative stands for: youth taking the lead in shaping resilient, healthy, and empowered communities.
He is not just performing his duties; he is exceeding expectations and inspiring others along the way.
“I have seen how simple actions for youths can fight malnutrition, help children grow healthier, and build stronger, greener communities." he shares
"When families learn to improve nutrition, plant fruit trees, create kitchen gardens, and protect the environment, real change begins. I encourage all youths tobe part of global youth communities striving to achieve SDGs in our communities"
